How SEO Strategy is Upgrading in 2023

Search engine marketing is a tactic that is evolving constantly. Google is changing its algorithm to improve results from search queries. So, SEO has to be updated to deal with the competitive market.

In 2023, you have to stay ahead and utilise the latest trends to your benefit. Looking at the SEO trends, you can achieve success in this new year.

What Marketers Can Do to Upgrade SEO Strategy

Core Web Vitals

For improving user navigation, you can concentrate on the core web vitals. Google gives more importance to the website that prioritises user experience and satisfaction. The negative experience of the user can become the reason for the downfall in website ranking. One of the key aspects of delivering the user a positive experience is page speed. If a webpage takes more than 3 seconds to load then most of the users may abandon the website. Therefore, you may observe an increase in the bounce rate. Here, you must focus on three aspects. They are load speed, interactivity and visual experience.

  • Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)

LCP tracks the rendering time of the largest content on the page from the first URL request. Videos and Images are the largest elements on the page in addition to the block-level texts. It is essential as it shows the reader that the page is loading. LCP should be around 2.5 seconds to give the reader a good and positive experience.

  • First Input Delay (FID)

FID indicates the time when a user interacts with your website for the first time by clicking on a link or tapping on a button to the moment the browser reacts to it. This aspect is important for a website that requires interactive web pages. For excellent user experience, FID should be about 100 milliseconds.

  • Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS)

CLS is the number of page layout modifies while a user is trying to interact with the website. The score is calculated between 0 and 1. If the CLS is 0 then nothing has shifted. When CLS is 1, it means that something has been modified and it is bad for the user experience. Pages with CLS 0.1 indicates a good experience for the user.

Reinforcing EAT Signal

E-A-T indicates a high quality of the webpage. E-A-T is an abbreviation for expertise, authority and trust. These are the factors that ensure a good user experience. Google guidelines have emphasised the importance of E-A-T continuously. Social proof, customer testimonials, authoritative site links and badges can help your website to gain a reputation. Content should be helpful for the users. In addition, it must be created by an expert and posted on an authoritative site to gain trust. It has to be updated regularly.

Video Marketing

Google search allows you to discover and watch videos. Explicit information is provided by Google regarding the upload date, thumbnail URL, description and duration to the user. Video marketing improves your SEO. It enhances your chance to get top rank on the search engine result page.
